Workout Over The Break

Hopefully, everyone doesn’t forget to spend a little time over the holiday break working on the techniques we have already covered this year.  Also, remember to hit those push-ups and sit-ups everyday.

New State Tournament for Maryland Junior League

The Maryland Junior Wrestling (MDJW) Youth State Tournament will be held on February 28, 2009.  The tournament will supercede what has been previously known as the Elementary/Middle School State Tournament.  The event will be held in the Exhibition Hall, Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, MD.  Beginning this season, you must qualify for the State Tournament at your Regional tournament.  We are in Region VII with Calvert, Prince Georges and Charles Counties.  Carlos Sandoval is our Region Director and our very own Sal Icaza is the Assistant Region Director.  Click here for our Regional Tournament form.

Open and Novice Tournament Results

Joshua Richey-Smith wrestled in his very first tournament over last weekend, entering the PAL Hagerstown Novice Tournament.  Joshua went 2-1 on the day and picked up his first career pin.  Great Job Joshua!
